Illinois lawmakers are considering a multi-billion dollar Capitol Infrastructure Program to repair roads, bridges, and schools throughout the state and to help stabilize the economy by creating more jobs.  In general, what are your thoughts on such a program? Don’t support any additional borrowing for new roads and bridges. (We should just live within our means) Support a scaled back plan that allows us to manage our costs I support such a program and believe we should move forward with construction as soon as possible.

In the current fiscal year, the state faces a budget shortfall of more than $3 billion.  How would you recommend this be addressed? Cut back on all programs across the board including healthcare and education. Cut back on programs across the board except for healthcare. Cut back on programs across the board except for education. Increase taxes to close the gap. Sell bonds and raise the state’s long term debt.
